Yoshinaga Masayuki, a major contributor featured in Sayonara Speed Tribes, is opening two exhibitions this weekend.
The second is a huge collection of group portraits which will be featured in a book published by Littlemore this month.
The first one is entitled Chokkan - which refers to the bosozoku's chopping modification of their mufflers for sound, but the term also means INSTINCT.

Yoshinaga photographed over 3,600 people in subcultures and groups ranging from bus drivers to Yakuza, and yes of course bosozoku. Definitely worth a trip to Harajuku. The opening reception is May 9th 730pm, Figure8 will be there filming for the last part of Yoshinaga's story featured in our documentary feature.
